What did the first community of believers look like after Jesus’ resurrection? The book of Acts describes believers who were baptized, learned together, prayed, shared meals, and supported one another. This lesson explores the beginnings of that community and the continuity of God’s purpose throughout the biblical story.
The early believers formed a community centred on Jesus and the teachings of Scripture. Their shared worship, fellowship, and daily lives reflected their faith. The lesson also considers how this community relates to God’s earlier promises and why salvation is not something people can earn through good deeds, but is received through God’s grace.
