What did Christianity mean to the first followers of Jesus? After His resurrection and ascension, how did they share His message and become a growing community of believers? This lesson returns to the book of Acts to explore the beginnings of the Christian church and the mission Jesus entrusted to His disciples.
The early Christian movement was centred on following Jesus and sharing His teachings, rather than relying on force or political power. The disciples received a mission from Jesus and were empowered by the Holy Spirit to witness boldly. Their experience helps us understand the growth of the early church and the importance of the gospel message.
